Xaviera Simmons’s solo exhibition Nectar debuted in Paris, France at KADIST. The exhibition is now on view at Konsthall C in Stockholm, Sweden through November 12, 2022.

In her first exhibition in Sweden, Simmons digs deep into the image archive of the 130-year-old AFRO American Newspapers, which has been writing about world history from a Black perspective since it was founded in 1892.

Nectar was co-commissioned by KADIST and Afro Charities, with support from Villa Albertine, the Ford Foundation and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
