If you are a family in need, please send a letter addressed to Mrs. Santa c/o Afro Charities to 233 E. Redwood Street Suite 600G, Baltimore, MD 21202 describing the ages of the children in your family, and what gifts might brighten their holidays. Letters can also be sent to mrssanta@afro.com.

New Generation Scholars Open Classroom

Join Muse 360 & Afro Charities for New Generation Scholars’ Open Classroom. Since late October, the scholars have been learning the importance of archival work focused on Black histories, and have been using personal photos, artifacts, letters, and more to create their own archives. Documenting the Legacy of Black Artists in Baltimore

Afro Charities presents Re-Reading the News: Documenting the Legacy of Black Artists in Baltimore with Dr. Leslie King Hammond, Angela N. Carroll, and Deyane Moses.

Re-Reading the News opens with the reading of an article from the AFRO American Newspapers’ archives that will set the tone for the conversation to follow. During this event, we’ll hear from an intergenerational panel of brilliant thinkers and makers about the work they’re doing to document the legacy of Black artists in Baltimore.
